Biography

Mohammad Taghi Zehtabi was a professor and a foundational intellectual of the Azerbaijani National Movement, initiating political activities in Southern Azerbaijan after the 1979 revolution. He was assassinated on December 22, 1998, becoming a victim of the state-sponsored Chain Murders.

محمدتقی زهتابی، پروفسور و از بنیانگذاران فکری حرکت ملی آزربایجان بود که فعالیت سیاسی را در آزربایجان جنوبی پس از انقلاب ۵۷ پایه‌گذاری کرد. او در ۱ دی ۱۳۷۷ قربانی قتل‌های زنجیره‌ای توسط عوامل حکومتی شد و به ترور رسید.
